Glossopdale Parents, Teachers and Families Association (PTFA)
Operating as a registered charity, Glossopdale PTFA has been in operation for many years, supporting the staff and students of the school to enrich learning experiences and contribute to wider school life.
Owing to a change in committee members, our PTFA was re-launched in 2019 with a new committee; chair and secretary. The existing treasurer kindly agreed to continue.
All parents, carers and staff are automatically members. The PTFA aims to encourage good relations between staff, parents and others associated with the school, to support the school and to advance the education of the pupils in it. The objectives of the PTA are; to organise fund-raising activities, to involve as many people as possible and to make the activities fun!
The PTA isn’t just about raising money for the school, our role is wider than that, and has the education of our children at the heart of it. We aim to expand upon this in the future.
As we become more established, it is also our aim to have a series of calendared events throughout the year, where we raise funds and put on community activities in which families from the Glossopdale area can come along and have a great time.
New people are always welcome at our meetings and any contribution of your time, no matter how big or small, would be appreciated. You do not necessarily have to have a child at Glossopdale School – just be willing to support a great cause and our community! Enquiries please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Next meeting: Weds 4th March, 6.15pm, Glossopdale School conference room
